Ever caught yourself writing a story just for a particular scene or effect? I very recently wrote my first (and last) adult story, just because I wanted to see one set in the old roman empire. That, and I wanted an excuse to use my wasted shreds of torrent education. Latin is wasted on the common man (i.e. me).

Now that I think about it, an awful lot of stories and books seem to revolve around even single scenes, with the rest being simple filler.

Incidentally, like someone pointed out already, there should be more historical romance/erotic stories. Ol' modern times is getting old, slowly and surely.

Most of my erotica stories start from the desire to write a single scene. Usually I have the scene and work backwards to find what would make that scene possible/plausible. I don't think there's anything wrong with it.

Welcome to the AH btw.
