I feel like writing - but I'm totally uninspired.
Anyone want to do a thread where we throw out a quick writing challenge and try to scribble it out as fast as possible? Just a short little something, maybe 200 to 500 words on a particular subject or in a particular theme?
If so, feel free to jump in here and give me something good to write about!

Would: Life, It's Consequences and Inevitabilities be a bit too broad?

Rumple Foreskin

Part A - Consequences.
For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
To avoid consequences as a result of life - sit very still.

Part B - Inevitabilities.
Taxes.
Death.
More of the same.

Night after night, the heat had covered her body as she laid restlessly in her body, praying for sleep. She flipped the pillows around and around, trying to get comfortable, but it was hopeless. Around two a.m. each morning, she'd give up and move to her computer to pass the time. It was better than waiting for something that was never going to happen.

Tonight was different, though. There had been a storm about an hour before sundown. Big wind, big thunder. The sky went dark, and the air was heavy as drops the size of quarters soaked the earth. The whole world smelt fecund and lovely as she stripped to her skin and spread herself out on her bed.

As she inhaled the night air clear down to her toes, the first cool breeze came in through the windows at the head of her bed. She reached back to touch the screen and let the skin on my arms prickle up. I pulled just the sheet up over me, curled up around cat and exhaled deeply. I could feel sleep blowing in the window and I wanted to be ready for it.

I'm sassy.
No doubt about it.
And now I'm going to bed.
G'night, Rumply.
Rest well and dream deep.
