Writing App for iPhones?

I’ve been using the “Pages” App on my iPhone 11 to write the Refurbished story series and think that will be wrapped for now with the next chapter.

I would like to maybe use a specific app for this if there is one starting with the next stories, especially for what I want to do for the Valentines and Halloween challenges. Is there any one app that would work well for writing?

I write close to exclusively on my iPhone and use Google Docs. The iOS one is ultra-pared down, you can’t even run spell check on demand, only the in-line flagging.

Then I often share drafts with proof-readers and beta readers and the convenience of doing this with GD kinda trumps my privacy concerns.

I just downloaded the Google Docs app, I’ll start playing with that later on.

I keep my writing in the cloud so it updates to my mini, ipad & iphone and that's a great help. You'd think by now Apple could figure out a decent WP but apparently not ( and I blame ai for that ). I had an issue with .pages eating CPU% on the mini, but I changed a few settings and it behaves no. I still miss Word on my olde worlde Mac
