For all intents and purposes I'm blind. I see the world thru frosted glass, I see barns but struggle with bread baskets. I write by swelling print to the size of the size of the top letters on eye charts. Beethoven was deaf, so I feel his pain.

But it is what it is.

I completed a 150 hour Masters degree for brain injuries, addictions, and psychiatric disability, plus a 32 hour Masters for psychology. But dogs taught me all there is to know about disability, KEEP ON TRUCKIN. No dog quits till he dies. They find ways.

So here's to old deaf Beethoven.

He never heard a note od it.

Hellen Keller was both blind and deaf and still left her mark on the world with her contributions.

My hats off to you, Noir, in spite of your problem you put out a lot of posts and read a lot of books.

As for me, I've got some vision problems, especially in one eye, but I'm getting cataract surgery in the fall, hopefully it will be better after. Just wish they could get the heavy duty floaters removed.

My hands thought are something else.

I'm happy to know that you are not in a "Dark place" regarding the challenges that have been thrown at you. You seem to be turning a losing scenario into a winning one.

"Damn the torpedoes! Full speed ahead!"

Dogs do as much, they cry from real pain but otherwise deal with it.

I studied psychology since 1966. What we call clinical psychology is bull shit because its political. From 1990 on I observed dogs, to get an idea of how people should behave. Dogs are instinctual, mostly. People have similar instincts.

Dogs will eat their own shit; men are dogs. They have no problem eating ass or kissing ass when they want some pussy. There's nothing really necessary to study in the way of human behavior there worth a fuck, in my opinion.

Living with disability is all about being a good problem solver and persistence.
