Help requested for a story

If any of you have ever been on a cruise in the Caribbean, do you have any suggestions as to the best ports to visit? My own experience is sadly outdated.

Much thanks ahead of time!

Since people are mentioning we don't discuss writing enough lately, I'm bumping a couple writing threads. Enjoy :)

Georgetown, Grand Cayman
Cozumel, Mexico

the two best in my opinion

Avoid Montego Bay jamacia. If you have to go to Jamacia, Ocho rios is much closer to the attractions. It's about a two hour bus trip from Montego bay to just about anywhere you want to go.

Plya del Carmen is nice, but if you aren't a diver or sun worshiper, it's a ways to the onland attractions.

Costa Maya is a diver's paradise, but if you don't dive, it's really very limited and touristy.

I haven't been to the eastern Carribean yet so those are all I know.

Thanks Colleen and some help needed...

Colleen this is a great idea!:) Sometimes personal experiences/knowledge is so much better than the 'dry' facts you find when you Google something!

Having said that... I posted on a thread several weeks ago that has died. :(

Here's what I posted.... and any help would be great. I want to do the story right. I originally came up with the idea about a week after Katrina, and now with Rita having come and gone right on top of the rescue efforts already in place, I know this is kinda sensitive. I mean no disrespect, and want to do the story right, no matter how long it takes.
About a week ago I started a story, the setting in New Orleans just a few years back. It's an erotic vampire tale. After searching numerous sites on the internet, I got frustrated and let the story sit. I was looking for something much like what's on this.... personal experiences, to intertwine in the story. I want it to be a tribute of sorts to this city that has lost so much. What I'll do with the story when/if I get it completed, I'm not sure. I just know that writing soothes the soul, and my heart and soul have been very troubled over this tragedy. This story may no go further than Lit, but I feel I HAVE to do this.

There's a beautiful little island called Jost Van Dyke. The big ships can't stop there because the anchorage is too shallow. There's nothing there but palm tree, perfect white sand, and utter peace. It's one of the most beautiful places I have ever been.

My Night at the Jefferson series of stories is set in New Orleans. Cloudy has also done a work set in New orleans. IN both cases, I think we touch on our personal feelings and memories of the place. If you need help with it, I'll be glad to tell you what I now and what I remember and what stands out in my memory :)

Just pm me :)
