Writers? Never Give Up

Ugh, way to early for that:eek:

But on topic of your title. Stephen King had Carrie rejected so many times, he finally threw the manuscript in the trash and was going to give up writing and get a regular job.

His wife pulled it from the trash and sent it back to one of the publishers and this time they accepted it.

And before that happened King was writing smut stories for Cavalier magazine, so he was once like us:D

Happens all the time. The opening of SOPHIES CHOICE involves a junior editor who rejects a phenomenal best seller book, and gets fired for it. Editors are always the last to know! Lawrence Blocks early porn is now out. Ditto Donald Westlake's porn. These guys were kids and their stuff is much superior to whats at LIT. I cant imagine Block or Westlake whining about reader scores. But many other stellar writers hadda dump their agents and publishers.

Roseanne aint any better 26 years later. Still sounds like Pilot with his pee pee caught in his zipper.
