What an amazing show! I'm still a bit speechless from the main event...can't believe Stone Cold turned!

HOLY SHIT, Stone Cold? Well, I'm not that surprised. Afterall, the first time he & Rock fought in the ring at a major event, he was the hated wrestler and Rock was the fan favorite.

Guy it was an amazing show, you have to watch Raw tomorrow to see everything that happened.....it's now well past five in the mornin but it was worth staying up for!

You can bet your sweet assets that I will be checking out RAW, Ask for More. An online friend just told me about that match and the beer that was shared. I plan on going to http://www.wrestlepalooza.com tonight to read more about it.
Thanks for the update.

oh my goodness its sooo real!

i dont like wrasslin no more. i used to when i was a kid, it was huge entertainment for me, but it just wore off. i stopped watching when umm. the 1-2-3 Kid was actually the 1-2-3 kid. hehe. and the undertaker was still like a dead guy and not some biker dude.

Do people in the USA actually watch this as if it were "real"? I'm not being sarcastic, but the majority of people in the UK think the wrestling is hilarious!! It is so unpopular it only gets shown on terrestrial channels at about 12.00pm on Sunday, when everyone is enjoying a leisurely breakfast and read of the newspapers.

Well, well.....

Styphon

huh? Wrestling's bigger than ever in the UK now....it's just that Sky has the rights so most of it only get shown on Sky Sports.

If you wanna bang on about how fake it is look at it this way; movies are fake and everyone knows they are but people still enjoy them and are entertained....isn't wrestling just like that?

*in a Funaki dubbed in voice* INDEED!!!

Loved the Gimmick match. I know it was meant more for fun then serious action, but it was nice to see some of the greats like Iron Shiek, Hillbilly Jim, and Sgt. Slaughter step into the ring again. Plus it was great to see Bobby Heenan back in the wwf("That was back then. These days, he's shooting blanks"). The whole show was just great overall. You know I'm going to be watching Raw tonight.

Sports Entertainment

Manoman! What a show last night! That one renewed my faith in Wrestlemania as the greatest pay-per-view on the WWF calendar. The only dark spots are that Eddie Gurrero has a frickin belt again, and that there was no Billy Gunn. Other than that, LOVED IT!

Poor Test. Wonder if he's going to get buried in the card like almost every other wrestler I enjoy watching?

And I hate to say it, but Mean Gene and Bobby Heenan were more entertaining announcers that Jim Ross and Paul Heyman. Then again, refied beans are more entertaining than Paul Heyman most of the time.

Vince/Shane is definitely going to need to be addressed, as is the Stone Cold turn.

And, to my knowledge, almost no one here in the States believes that these are real fights, real competition. We who count ourselves fans respect these athletes for their ability to put on a show, take us on an emotional ride. At its best, and Wrestlemania this year was definitely a great example, Professional Wrestling can be described as a passion play, with good and evil struggling for supremacy. That said, I was the only one in the room cheering for HHH against the Undertaker, and that's a lonely place to be..

WHY I THINK STEVE AUSTIN WON THE BELT

Let's consider something about this:
1) WWF/McMahon just purchased the WCW.
2) Austin wins the WWF belt.

What WCW Champion once told David Letterman that he can kick Steve Austin's (then WWF champ) ass. What WCW wrestler's name was constantly chanted by the WWF fans during McMahon's announcement of the purchase of WCW last week on RAW?
And lastly, what WCW wrestler does everyone want to see go up against Austin? The answer?
William "Bill" Goldberg.

I read an interview with him where he says that he will not work for WWF. Well, since he is still contracted under WCW, I expect him to make an appearance in the WWF (most likely as a commentator) and a brawl will develope between him and Austin. Needless to say, Austin will get his everloving ass well kicked.

I was disappointed that Stone Cold turned, but I loved it when Vince got kicked in the nuts. That was fun. Linda is back!!!

The Euro title match was a great one and really showcased Test's abilities.....he managed to compete with the athleticism of Eddie Guerrero and the fans loved it...i personally think Test and Y2J are gonna get a major push soon with Benoit taking something similar to the Rock mantle...heel turning sort of good with no allies.

I loved the dropkick off the turnbuckle from Shane to k.o Vince but the best part for me was Lita ripping off her top ;o]

I watched wrestling once for about five minutes, and I was driving myself crazy trying to figure out what the wrestlers reminded me of.

Then I got it. They reminded me of the "bandits" who "rob" the train at Knott's Berry Farm. It was the bravado and the overacting I think.
