Wow - it's my second anniversary as a porn writer

I new it was right around this time in early July 2005, but just happened to look and it was two years ago today that my first porn story went up on the Internet, at Nifty, http://www.freegaysex.com/nifty/lesbian/ . In fact, it was right about this time of day, also.

Here's how I described the experience in a note to a reader not long after:

To be honest, I was nervous as a virgin about posting this online: It’s the first erotica I had ever written, and I had no idea what to expect. I hoped for a little positive feedback, and feared the reality would be either "dropped in a black hole and never heard from again," or "hearing from creeps whom I would rather have kept their raincoats buttoned.”

Instead, I have received a good number of incredibly inspiring and kind notes from like yours. Plus, the story is a hit! It's actually rather intoxicating, and now I must beware of a swelled head.

I learned about Lit from a new "fan" six weeks later, and the quality of writing here solved that big-head problem to the extent it ever developed. My first posts on AH also had had that "nervous virgin" quality.

Congratulations. You inspired me to take a look, and my first story was posted here 2 years ago less a week. So I suppose I would have submitted it about this time two years ago. I had much the same trepidations, but I also recieved really warm feedback.
