It would be very nice if the upcoming Volume 2 had a section dedicated to poetry, at least, even if only equivalent in length to one short story. I hope Laurel is considering the option. :)

There's a volume 2?
L, I hope your letters to pho... phe... you know who is in it. ;)

hi Eve
your AV is growing hair on my palms

the tricky part would be to decide which ones go in.
Especially if Lauren's suggestion was taken, then to pick half a dozen from all that are out there... tough job.

(in a geeky aside, publishing poems can be trickier than stories. I've dabbled in book-making, and as an exercise I put my submissions in a "book". Just as many have come against the Lit submission formatting issues, it's even more of a pain when faced with the constraints of the physical printed page. Since I was doing my own stuff, I made command decisions like changing the font or margins on a page by page basis to get the pieces to fit. -- Nuth'n uglier than the last line of poem spilling to the next page. :(

I know that Laurel appreciated smithpeter's work. And he did submit a tremendous amount of poetry to this site. Perhaps, it would be nice to honor him with a page in the book.

I have learnt from a well-informed source that Volume 2 was due to come out by the end of last year, but has been delayed for some reason...

And no, Letters from Pohjola won't be in it. Nobody contacted me about it, at least. :)

Oh, I don't know. Many poets have published works that spill over. I can see Spatials being a problem in low cost publishing but I'm sure it's do-able.

Someone had to choose the stories for Vol. I - same thing for the poems. Of course we won't all agree - but that was the case with the stories picked too.

I am lobbying for a Vol. I of the poems of Literotica.

Seems to Me that since it is a compilation of works posted at lit. and since the ones who run the site ( Laurel and Manu) give out the "E" tags to ones they like then they should publish all the ones they gave an E to. No one could argue about that. Those poems are already linked at the top of the poetry board anyway.

Tho' given human nature many will argue anyway on whatever method is chosen to shortlist those poems that make it into the book.

Razz :p
