That's what I was thinking. Well, it was more like "I hope they shared those breathing masks with the poor tortoises". Having tortoises as pets is definitely quite a commitment.

Hopefully there was a lot less smoke close to the floor. Why wouldn't they secure a space heater if the turtles could knock them over.

That's a legacy, they said one was in the family since the 50s.
