David Gerrold, in The Man Who Folded Himself addressed this issue. His "folded man" had sexual relationships with himself in a number of permutations, male and female, in all the basic combinations (and one eternal orgy, if I recall correctly).

I might, if I could manage it. It would be interesting to see if I could convince myself that I'm really attractive and interested in being with me
