If you could go back in time, would you kill a baby Adolf Hitler?

Could you murder an infant on the assumption it would save millions of lives?

You do not have alternative options, such as preventing the parents from ever meeting, or kidnapping the baby and taking him far away.

Kill the baby or not.

Sorry, no Dolf.

Kompetente Deutsch militärischen Führung konnte das Spiel verändert haben.

And a lot of others while I was back there. It would be a bloodbath, I'd be worse than the lot of them before I was finished.

If you could go back in time don't stop at him, kill all of his ancestors too. Evil begets evil, so kill his begetors. That or shave off his mustache. Without it no one would have given him a second look.

"Competent German military leadership could have changed the game."
???

You do not agree? Hitler funded a huge railroad gun that took a small army to operate. What if that money, time, and energy was devoted to jet planes or a nuke?

Hitler's decisions lost the war for Germany.

At one point the Allies considered assassinating Hitler (who survived many attempts by Germans) but decided Hitler's incompetence was shortening the war.

For example: Halting the tanks at Dunkirk; Invading Russia; not allowing strategic retreats on the Russian front; keeping the Normandy tanks under his personal control so they couldn't be used until he woke up; still believing that the Normandy landings were a feint for an assault on the Pas De Calais for days after it was obvious they weren't; building massive bunkers he never used; wasting scarce resources on wonder weapons that were a diversion from the real military needs...

I'd kill the numnut who rejected Hitler's application to community organizer school.

There's a good chance he would have been replaced by someone else. And then there would be the risk of them being more competent than he was.

In the end, it's not the question who Hitler was, but how he gained absolute power.

We'd be debating whether to send someone back in time to kill baby kbate. I always wanted to ride in a DeLorean.

:)

He killed like 25 million commies, not a bad thing.

The Brits and Frogs and Americans made Hitler inevitable. Dust off all the old records and what you discover are a solid decade of abuse by the Allies and their puppets. Take Danzig. Hitler suggested making Danzig a port shared by Germany and Poland. To make it easier for East Prussians to travel to Germany, and for cargo shipments. Nope. The Poles were the dog in the manger.

The Poles preyed upon Sudetenland and Silesia, and made plenty of cross border raids before the war. The Allies looked the other way.

Hitler launched Barbarossa when Stalin built air fields and armor bases along the border with German Poland. Defensive bases are always built away from borders. Its actually an act of war to mobilize military near a border. Stalin had tanks on the roads going west when Hitler struck.

Jews: German Jews were 1% of the population but controlled almost half the wealth and best jobs in Germany. And they ran the Weimar government and controlled organized crime.

Roosevelt sent Jewish leaders a warning to knock off their shit. They didn't.

Hitler lost the war but accomplished his goals.

I'd never be caught, the alibi of paradox and time travel would be better than Plot Armour.

Exactly. Even the Israeli prime minister Bibi Netanyahu said recently that Hitler wasn't such a bad fellow, he just fell under the influence of the evil Grand Mufti and it was the Palestinians who bore the ultimate blame for Teh Holocaust.

Usual JBJ bullshit. He'd still have praised Hitler, even when sitting in that mobile gas chamber.

May I also suggest you have a look at BB's "Europe: Death by suicide" thread?
You've been cordially invited there, and there's a lot of work for you to do there, too.:D
