ANA has grounded their fleet.

On a flight yesterday from Tokyo to Ube the cockpit indicated battery problems. A successful emergency landing was made.

On December 4th a United 787 flight made an emergency landing in New Orleans.

On January 7th there was a fire in a battery pack on an empty JL 787 at Boston's Logan airport. It took 40 minutes for fire fighters to put the blaze out.

On January 9th ANA cancelled a flight after the flight computer wrongly indicated a brake problem.

On January 11th ANA confirmed two other problems on different 787's. A fuel leak on one and a cracked windshield in the cockpit on the other.

WTF?

The Dealer fixes all of that for Free under the New Plane Warranty.

Don't be such a pussy.

That's what they get for not using Duracell.

My next flight is on Eva and they don't operate a 787. No doubt, it will be a rat ass airbus.

It just so happens that these are the union-built 787's from Washington state, since the South Carolina non-union plant isn't operational yet.

I'm taking one to Fiji tomorrow on a whim.

I think Japan offers a direct flight but I'm not sure. Perhaps, HongKong and Singapore too.

There are several flights from Sydney.

From Lehighton? I'm guessing Philly to LAX with subsequent connection. You will lose a day in transit. Have fun.
