Would you ever consider living on a commune?

If such a thing as a bdsm commune existed, would you sign up and go live there with your subbie? Would it be shangrila or do you think all the personalities would clash? I suppose just like any other society you're going to have clashing personalities, but doesn't it sound like fun? Does anyone know of any types of these communes existing? If so share your stories!

Don't think it would appeal too much to me personally. We find each other a full time commitment demanding most of our energy, without trying to include a commune full of people, and as you say, personalities. I think also to be fair, I am just not a group loving person on any level and have always found it physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually tiring to try and keep up with it all. I think you need to be extremely high energy, preferrably extrovert, and seeking social as opposed to solitude to be successful at this type idea as a way of life.

Don't think I'd like it either. I prefer a more intimate situation, two people, three maybe, four's pushing it a lot.
Besides, I'm too enamoured of my beloved, and don't share well, LOL.

I've lived for long periods of time in Christian communes, and even there were everyone really wanted it to work and had good motives and etc., personality clashes and the high level of cooperation which were necesary were tough to achieve.

Sir and I have attend bdsm "camp out" events, etc. which lasted several days or more and I really couldn't imagine this working for any length of time. Too many strong personalities and differing ways of doing things. And the bdsm events I went to were basically full service- attendees were not required to work together to cook, clean, or anything else as in the Christian communes I lived in- I just can't imagine it being practical.
