I'd really like to publish something and I think this piece is pretty good <crosses fingers> but the length of it puts it rather in the 'taint' area!

Check out Ellora’s Cave. They claim to take stories from 10,000 to 125,000 words.

20K words is tough. Harlequin SpiceBriefs takes 5-15K, but they're Harlequin and it would have to be very, very good to make it with them. EC does take 20K word stories but I think those are just for anthologies of their best-selling authors.

I think you might be stuck with doing leg work on this one and going to ERWA and looking for places that take those kinds of submissions. Good luck.

Maybe if I'm lucky I can extend it to (is it about 60k?) novel length and sell it as that!!!

I just sent a 21k story in to Total E Bound, a british site another author recommended to me, but I've no real experience of'em as yet
