Regulations be damned they could not stay away from each other. They were in the same department on the same team in the Special unit. It was beyond against the rules not that their Sarge Mark Spencer cared. He had known both of them for a very long time and could tell that they were both the best thing for each other.
Mark had worked with him since the academy and had served with Jessie's father in the military before that. He had watched her balance him and him reign Jessie in when she gets too "focused". Mark however was no fool he knew he could not protect them and their relationship forever.

Jessie walked into the briefing room after putting her gear away and beating on the heavy bag for a bit. The criminal got a slap on the wrist and the victim they had to talk down from killing him got 10 years. The only thing that prevented her from putting a bullet in the crooked business untouchable who caused the man to try to fix things himself was her love of her job and her vow to protect. Even if that meant protecting a slime who just happened to be the victim for once in his manipulative life.
Eric... one of the latest team members walked in before her and looked to the Commander.
We might want to keep this brief Sir... Jessica...
He fell silent after hearing her walk in and the commander nodding to him already knowing what had happened when she had to appear in court as she had headed the team in that talk down situation.
Jessie... Have a seat we may not have enough right now but there are enough divisions now keeping an eye on him. We'll get him... It may take some time but we will get him.
Mark tried to convince her he knew that look and knew that Mitchell could not really step up and calm her for now with team 3 sitting in on the briefing. He just had to hope that she would calm down on her own or this was going to be a LONG briefing.
She just nodded to him and sat down resting her badge on the desk staring at it for a long moment as the briefing began.
