who do you think will win the title this time?

i think it is going to be either Argentina or Brazil with the African teams having a chance to maybe come into the quater finals this year. At the end of the day, I'm happy as long as Germany has to return to Europe pronto. :D

*LOL* you have a nomination for who has the biggest package in world football then cant be beckham if he can squash himself in to a thong lol.

Beckham... if he wasn't married, I'd be SO sure he was gay. Just like Ainsley Harriott (but then I'm still sure he is gay).

I'm bored with the Roy Keane will he wont he be at the world cup saga allready.

ROY KEANE has finally ruled himself out of the World Cup.

The Republic of Ireland midfielder released a statement saying: "I do not consider that the best interests of Irish football will be served by my returning. The damage has been done." Irish FA official John Delaney confirmed the matter was closed.

He said: "This has been like someone in the family dying slowly. But this brings it to an end and we must move on."

The statement was issued last night at 8pm English time - 4am at the Republic's base in Izumo, Japan.

Ireland boss Mick McCarthy responded today: "I am glad it is finished with and it has been dealt with.

Spoilt and prat are the words that come to mind when ever i hear the name Roy Keane.

Eh, maybe it's just me but I'm with Roy all the way here. The way the FAI went about is ridiculous and McCarthy should be fired ASAP.

He crossed the line, more like took a skip a hop and a jump over it you just dont throw personal insults at your boss/superior.

If i called my Boss a Fucking wanker in front of work mates I'll be sacked on the spot as anyone else whould.

I think Roy Keane is a great footballer and he will be missed but i think he's disrupted the team spirt to much in the irish camp which as allways been there biggest strength.

Well, yes, you and I don't throw insults at our bosses because if we got fired or quit the only people who'd give two damns are us, our family and the people we give money to. We'd be replaced by people who'd do our job as well or almost as well and we'd be forgotten.

Roy Keane is the best player on the Irish team. He is more important than a coach of middling quality. Because of Roy Keane the Irish beat the dutch and are in the world cup. He will be replaced by a "promising young player" from Celtic who isn't so promising that he made the team(A middling world cup team even with Keane) in the first place.

Obviously, McCarthy has to have some semblance of control but the whole dust up is, if not his fault, than a glaring example of his faults as a manager.

The World Cup is a special event. It's unfair to the people of Ireland that they won't be at full strength the blame is partly Keanes, partly McCarthy's and partly the FAIs.

But who is the least replaceable of the three? McCarthy is a decent but unspectacular manager and the boys at the FAI are idiots(Putting your players in economy class while the officials fly first class is stupid on a level I can't even begin to discuss)

But Roy Keane is a world class player. I'd put him on my World Eleven(Maybe, he's behind Beckham and Zidane and maybe ahead of Batistuta or Figo) and his absence leaves the team a shell of what they could be.
