((OOC: Basically your character can be anything, it's more towards the magic theme, and I will need multiple people for each side. There is Sardonica, a goddess, and then there is the rebellion. No good or evil... It's always more complicated than that. So pick a side... as far plot... they want to kill each other doesn't get much better than that...))

Name: Kallisto Liulfr
Species: Changeling
Age: 19
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 146lbs
Magic Abilities: Healing
Weapons: Bow, arrows, and a dagger

Kallisto's wolf ears twitched at the sound of snow falling from the branch of a far off fir. While the rest of her body stayed still it was her right ear that fell back flat against her head and her left that merely flinched. Said ears were littered with little piercings all of which were shiny. She liked shiny things. Her tail lazily moved back and forth in a sad attempt to create movement which would promote warmth. Icy blue eyes stared down at the small fire that was hardly doing it's job of keeping the small clearing lit and warm.

The wolf girl was frustrated with the fact that they had been forced to leave the city. The ever increasing guard was making it difficult to run a rebellion especially when there was a snitch among the band. She didn't realize how badly she was shaking, she had not been wearing much when they were forced to flee. She was only in a skirt, some knee high hunting boots, fingerless gloves, and an oversized green sweater that kept slipping off of her slender shoulders. She always had her dagger on her and luckily she had her bow and arrows at her side.

"I wonder if they're going to search this far out for us..." She said more to herself but loud enough so her peers could hear her.

OOC: I'll edit this post and put my stat sheet and post, but I'm still kinda fuzzy on what exactly you're looking for. Any details we should know?

((OOC: Well... There's this Goddess named Sardonica and basically she's ruling over the city named after her. I need people to play her followers I will more than happily make someone for her side as well. And then I need people to play the renegades who are against her tyranny. Does that answer your question? This is a no technology thing... magic, swords, and all that jazz))

((OOC: I'd like to play, too. I'll edit this post with my character's bio after I ask a few questions.

Do you have a background story for the Goddess? If not, may I propose one?

Are there any restrictions on characters?

Idea for Goddess: Deities grow strong or weaker according to the number of people who worship them. Sardonica was the youngest and least powerful of the pantheon, but the most ambitious. Through signs, omens, portents and miracles, she gained a following of assassins, who she commanded to slay those who worshipped other deities. Her assassin-priests moved efficiently and quickly, dispatching everyone who did not worship Sardonica before the other deities could rally their followers to a meaningful defense. With no worshippers, the other deities lost their immortality, and either fell from the heavens or simply faded away into oblivion.

Idea for my Character: My character is Sardonica's older brother, who fell from the heavens when his younger sister's followers killed all of his. He seeks to reinstate his status as a deity, but for now, is only a mere mortal.

Alternate Idea for My Character: He is lost. He came from a far away land to the east, and his ship was lost at sea, along with the rest of the crew. He now finds himself in a strange land where he does not know the language, and the residents have pale complexions and light colored eyes... ))

((OOC: I like the Goddess idea... We'll run with that one. And either of your characters is fine. I personally like the brother one better just because he has a mission. I might play Sardonica if no one rises to the occasion... For now my character is the changeling. You can play more than one if you're up for it...))

Maximus Prime
Fallen Deity, now mortal
5'9" 186 lbs.
Asian male in his late 20's/early 30's, with long jet black hair, dark brown eyes, bronze complexion

Sardonica's eldest brother recently fell from Immortality, and now must adapt to his new life/status as a mere mortal. This proves to be a challenge, for he needs to learn VERY basic things; for example, one can NOT simply walk through obstacles as one once did as a Deity. FACT: One must now walk around obstacles. Walls are such obstacles; hence the advent of doors, which one uses to walk through.

NOTE: One must manually OPEN the door first before attempting to walk through it. Doors do not recognize fallen Deities and will not open upon my mental -- or even spoken -- command.

Currently has no equipment whatsoever, not even clothing. However, I hope to somehow acquire the equipment depicted in the illustration above.

OOC: I like him. He's in... not that I think anyone else is playing... *looks around* They said they wanted to be no one else is doing anything... hm... Oh well, if they decide notto play we'll play all the characters.... YAY!

(( OOC: Thanks! :)

It's your thread, but in my humble opinion, Ithink it would be best for you and I to play our characters (your 2 and my 1), and just go with that for now.

I think that, if people have the opportunity, they will join an interesting thread, such as this promises to be.

Even if no one else joined, think I would very much enjoy RPing with just the two of us.

Just my two cents.))

<OOC> Hi :) I'm interested in playing--I'll have a character and an intro up for you in just a moment :)

She felt the need to go for a walk, she needed the silence and needed to be away from her people. She rose and wandered off into the woods, her dagger her only protection now. It was during this walk in the dark forest that she heard something... She could have sworn she had seen a very humanesque being in the distance.

OOC: Great... I just changed what was happening... She's looking in the woods now...

Descent

I think this sensation I now feel is called "pain." I first felt it upon my rather overly-rapid descent from the Heavens, through the atmosphere, a couple layers of clouds, and some very thick, leafy branches of the forest below. I thought my descent would end when I hit the moss-and-compost-carpeted ground. I did not count on the ground being a sloping side of a hill, that had me rolling down towards the crystal, clear lagoon below.

Alright, now, I believe I am feeling the sensation called "cold." Very Cold. And "Wet." This sensation, I am fairly certain, has something to do with suddenly plunging into the lagoon.

Ah, I believe that I am now experiencing panic. But why? Hmmm... If I were to hazard a guess, I'd say that my sudden change to "Mere Mortal" comes with an unrelenting need to breathe air, and air is not present within the lagoon -- at least, not in a form that I can use to breathe. I believe it is this inability to breathe that causes my current state of panic.

Either that, or perhaps, the sudden realization that I never had the opportunity to learn how to swim.

Unfortunately, I don't have the power to go back in time to correct this. Oh, what a bother. Does this mean I get to die now? If so, will my soul return back to the Heavens? Oh, rats. DO I have a soul? I don't remember Father or me creating one for me....

I roll over and find that I can breathe again. Interesting. By simply getting my head out of the water from where I lay in the shallows, I can now breathe.

However, I'm still very cold, and wet, and now the feeling of pain is back again.

Interesting.

Name: Lucifine
Species: human
Age: Mid-Late 20’s
Height: 5'0”
Weight: 120
Magic Abilities: Cold magic (combat oriented, mostly...)
Weapons: A magic rapier with a bluish sheen called Tempest

IC>>From a distance, Lucifine’s sharp, blue eyes saw something moving in the underbrush. She brushed stands of long, snowy hair away from her pretty, pale face, and quietly drew Tempest…

She moved slowly. The only sound was the soft creak of her black, leather armor and the soft crunch of snow in the distance.

Rebels… Lucifine thought. I hope these are the ones I’m looking for…

Kallisto stopped her movement immediately upon her eyes spotting 'someone' moving around. Her ears were perked straight up in alarm. She was listening for anything that would tell her why she was getting this weary feeling. Her ears twitched forcing her to look to the side from where the noise had originated. She took a few carefully plotted footsteps towards the direction of the partially frozen lagoon.

She let out a loud sharp whistle alerting the rest of her group of the danger that was coming their way. And that when she was forced to run for her life. The woods suddenly opened up to reveal the water, this would have been welcome at any other time but now shewas looking for cover not water.

The other unfortunate thing was that there was a small difference in ground levels between the forest and the lagoon. She fell landing flat on her face. She rubbed her head which had struck a rock before noticing the man laying ten feet away from her. She then noted he was without clothing. She couldn't believe it but knew she didn't have long.

"Come on," she said pulling herself to her feet.

A strange noise issues forth from my mouth. So, that's what it's like to scream. Funny, I didn't even think to scream; I just did it -- instinctively, like an animal...

Oh, how far have I fallen? I sense a commotion nearby. I find that, by moving my head, I can see the origin of the commotion. Also, by lifting my head out of the water so that my ears are no longer submerged, I can hear the source of the commotion.

Hmm. It looks like a human girl. Or wolf. I am not sure what it is right now; I should have paid better attention whan Father was busy Creating.

I furrow my brow at the creature. Shouldn't it be bowing and scraping before me? Oh, wait. She doesn't know who I WAS; she only sees me for who I am.

How... depressing. On that note, so, this is what it is like to be depressed. I don't see how some mortals can think it makes one more interesting. Frankly, I don't like the feeling of depression, almost as much I do not like the feeling of being cold, wet and in pain.

Perhaps I should scream again?

Lucifine's eyes snapped towards the whistle and she darted through the undergrowth towards it.

They're moving!?

Snow was starting to fall now, and behind her, Lucifine's snowy tracks were washed away as though they never were. She reached the spot from where she thought she heard the whistle and stood at the lip of a ravine.

By Tempest's soft, blue glow, Lucifine saw a wolfen girl and a man face down in the half frozen lagoon.

"The hell?" Lucifine muttered to herself.

She pressed herself against a tree, and sheathed Tempest, hoping they hadn't seen her just yet. Lucifine watched them...

The wolf girl was surprised that the hunter hadn't followed or found them yet. She moved, a little unsteadily, to his side. Why was he not getting up? She looked back at the woods and saw no one. She had to hurry because if they were tracking the group they would, no doubt, find her footprints easily.

"Can you walk? Are you injured?" She asked as she tugged at his arm trying to get him up. It was too cold to be lying around naked in the lagoon.

She kept tugging until she had him to his feet.

"Come on," She urged. She couldn't just leave him there.

Lucifine peered around the tree and down into the ravine. The wolf girl tried to get the man on his feet, but she seemed to be having trouble.

She's going to need help...

Lucifine broke away from her tree and carefully slid down the ravine. When she hit bottom, she made her way towards the girl and the man...

The girl/wolf is touching me. I look at her incredulously: first, no bowing or scraping, and now, mere mortals touch me upon their whim? Is there no end to my suffering? Oh, wait -- that's another new emotion: Suffering!

I've been a mortal for about a minute, and so far, I do not like emotions or sensations or feelings.

Well, except, perhaps, for the sensation of being touched. That feels... good, somehow. It seems... reassuring, comforting...

She lifts me to a standing position. I manage to keep my balance on the first try.

Hmmm... Now she seems to be commanding me to do something. I believe the least I should do in this event is respond, even if only to clarify her intent and meaning.

"What is it you wish me to come on?" I ask. At that, I notice another being -- this time, I am fairly certain it is a human -- approach. I look at both of them, first one, then the other. I think it would be appropriate to make conversation -- that's what people do when they first meet, I believe. I am not sure how to make conversation; I'm used to just THINKING things when I communicate. Inwardly, I shrug and just go with my recently-acquired animal instincts.

"I am cold," I begin. "And wet. I also feel pain now. How are you?"

Kallisto looks at this woman helping her. She was not sure what to think at the moment but considering that she hadn't just ran her through she figured that she was doing alright. The wolf girl turned and gave two sharp loud whistles to the night sky. They were returned immediately.

"My clan is this way..." She said as she led the two others to her encampment which was back up the ravine and then up a hill. It wasn't long before they were feeding the cold man and Kallisto was speaking with the woman.

"Thank you for your help..." She said. "Why were you stalking our caravan?" She asked.

Lucifine hefted the man up and he leaned heavily on her shoulder.

"We'll take care of you..." she said to the man. "Get you warm..."

Snow shifted under Lucifine's feet where she walked and rough steps formed up the ravine.

Lucifine looked at the wolf girl for a moment.

"I tracked your caravan because I heard rumors of rebels out here..."

Also feel pain? Lucifine thought. who is this stranger on my shoulder?
