Have worked with a few (published work with 3) and have tried to work with others but the pressure of having to deliver, defeats many.
Suppose it is like writing - fun when there are no deadlines but quite serious when one has to publish commercially.
When working with artists (in graphic novels), have one simple rule - don't fool around with my words and I won't tell you how to draw! Seems fair.
As I said, have published successfully with three artists but it took me quite a while to find those three.
Again, like writing, many people like the idea of being a writer/artist but find the actual work difficult when it is on a commercial basis.
