I often see the adjective “professional” in a lot of the biographies of men here on Lit. While I understand what is attempting to be conveyed in that identifier, there is something to be said for the “working man”. Sure I don’t wear a suit to work, but it’s not like I don’t own one. Sure my current profession doesn’t require higher education, but I do have a degree.

I guess I just want to give a shout out to the men and women here that are blue collar.

Heh my job is so sloppy I don't even have a collar!

Three cheers to the messy workers of the world who keep shit runnin!

Hey, I am also with you guys. I am a professional and I do not wear a suit either.
In fact, my mom will take us out to dinner and she would tell me it is business
casual restaurant and my response is great, I can wear t-shirt and shorts.....lol
Yes, I do own a suit and do wear it from time to time.

I work in what many would classify as a "Professional" career, for a multinational corporation. And yes, I do have to wear a suit from time to time, but most of the time I am in shorts and a Tshirt or a Kilt. I dont like to dress up the vast majority of the time, and I have an immense amount of respect for the "working man". Without the "working man", all that "professional" work would fall to nothing. Dont let anyone look down on those who earn an honest living, regardless of profession.

Khakis and golf shirts in the summer. Khakis, coat, and button down in the winter.
