I know it's just a typo, but the picture it conjured of a woman wearing only a rope tied round her waist, with one hand offering the end of it to the man at the door ...

Strange. I really was thinking about rope vs. robe, but still I made the mistake.

Recently, I saw pictures of a woman, just wearing a rope around her waist, like a thin belt and nothing more.

But this could also be an interesting part of the story. She opens the door totally naked, just with a rope tied around her waist. The delivery guy looks at her and starts to stutter "you are naked"
She replies: I am not naked - I am still wearing a rope. Or would you prefer it, if I would wear a boiler suit ? Come in, and maybe I will allow you to untie the rope ..."

This leads me to the question: What could be hotter then opening the door naked ? Maybe she is wearing a strap-on dildo. Or a harness ...

Well hotter depends on the person you ask, for her hotter would be in a see through camisole or teddy, shows everything but doesn't show everything, it is way more fun to tease.

Him, probably nude, though I suppose depends on the guy as well, some seem to prefer the tease over a woman opening the door nude and pulling him in.
