I work fulltime (more or less) as a paralegal. I would like to find a "work at home" job to earn some extra money. Obviously, I know my way around a computer - can type, etc., etc. Are there any tele-commuters out there? Does anybody know of any reliable resources for finding a part-time w.a.h. job?

(Hmmm. . .and if I'm "working" on the computer that will give me more Lit. time too. . .) :)

You could search almost any of the major job sites for paralegal work and then filter the list for telecommuting. You might be able to call around to some temp agencies too and see if there are any openings for you in your area.

There are also some job sites online specifically for telecommuters and freelancers, like http://www.tjobs.com/index.shtml although I'm not sure if there are listings for paralegals there.

Thanks, Ice Princess. . .I will check it out. I guess I should clarify that I'm not necessarily looking for paralegal type work . . .just anything I can do at home to earn some $$.

I do a little freelance work on the side myself and if nothing else, reading the offers out there will make you laugh. Here's my favorite ad from the past couple of days:

"Pet Bird Articles Wanted
Garth - info@newbie-birdfun.com
I have a growing list of online pet bird owners. I am looking for articles from basic care to unusual topics. Especially if you have articles rejected by others because the topics were too controversial or would upset the advertisers of the established pet bird magazines."

You don't have any edgy, hard-hitting, topical pet bird prose lying around anywhere, do you? Although I guess this guy isn't offering to pay you for it either ...

LMAO! And here I just deleted that series I wrote on the mating habits of Keel-billed Toucan (Ramphastos sulfuratus)! :D

My sister-in-law works from home as a medical trancriptionist. It requires some good typing and spelling skills -- especially proper spelling of medical terms.
