Does anyone's job suck as much as mine?

I have a list of goals that I need to accomplish within ther next 3 months. However, my boss will not allow me to do anything I need to do to get any of them done. Any new projects that come up he does, I get nothing. So, I pretty much come into work and sit on my ass, bored out of my mind for 8 hours a day. It's a good thing Mountain Dew exists or I would sleep through all 8 of them.

Yeah, I know, getting paid for doing nothing sounds cool, but after a week it gets really old. As strange as it sounds, I really miss doing some actual work.

I am finishing up my 4th year of teaching. I enjoy myself with my students and love most of them like family. I like teaching, but I need to move on.

I feel like a shipbuilder. I built the motherfucker, now you find someone else to sail it. I have had enough. I just don't know right now if I can do another year or not. A year is a long time and my disease is becoming worse than the cure. I want change.

I want a new play, a new set, and new actors. I'm tired of being Gilligan.

Teaching has to be one of the hardest things to do that I can think of. I wouldn't want to do it for 1 day, let alone 4 years.

I'm a network administrator by title, but so far all I ever do is fix end-user problems. I guess that would make me more of a help desk person. Only problem is that I am too damn good at it, no problems here for 4 weeks and counting now. It's my 2nd year in my current position, but I have been doing this for 6 years now.

I need a change too, a job where I get to learn new computer skills, or even have something to do would be nice.

THIS MAY BE SHOCKING TO MOST

I am usually off on Sundays & Mondays so I should look forward to Saturdays, right? Not quite. I enjoy working from Tuesday to Friday. I have a job with various duties. And the service leader often shift the duties around a bit, so as not to make the job boring to most of us. However, there are times when I have to do the same job (duty) all week. But the pain in the ass comes on the weekend when she's off and the relief service leader makes the assignments. He has no idea of rationalization. Instead of changing assignments around, he simply assigns everyone on whatever they did the entire week. He does that so that he doesn't have to exercise any brain cells by organizing an assignment.

Ah, but at least he gives you tasks. Even if they are the same. My boss just does every task that comes in and then asks me why I just sit at my desk doing nothing all day.
