Words for female buttocks

I don't like to use "ass" in stories - I'm writing about eros, not donkeys or fools. I don't like "bum" because there are no hobos in my stories. "Arse" seems crude too. So:

buttocks
rear end
bottom (I love this one )
derriere
cheek(s)

Others? metaphors? Useful adjectives? Parts ("crack")? More?

There was another thread that had a link to breast description that I found most interesting...this is another part of female anatomy that I think description depends on the story and the intent of the author.

I can only speak for myself, and at that, I find it trying to decipher my own preferences in physical descriptions...I think I attempt to provide an impressionistic word painting such as the slow sensual rise from the waist....into... and then...movement, short precise, controlled swing and sway, loose full movement, evocative on purpose hip movement...just hints and literal clues as to the shape and form, but never actually say the words of offer a description...

I also think age...youth...then mature and knowing...and purpose and intent of the female displaying the area, I suggest a trip to the supermarket to just watch how women walk...I do...and then try to find words that describe the movement and the intent or lack of it or complete and total disregard...

Not sure that many any sense at all...when a woman is on the 'make' it is easy to detect from how she carries her sex...yes...I think intent and purpose is far more important than buns...grins...

I have no bias against any such words. I love the female buttocks and will use practically any reasonably positive term for them. However, I do tend to prefer derriere, on Francophone principles.
