Woodward and Trump

Woodward's books are usually interesting, but you always have to keep in mind that you're getting the version of events that his sources want you to get.

He had to have been really disappointed when Colin Powell stepped out of the limelight. Those two had a longer and happier collaboration than most marriages.

I generally trust though that Woodward has actual sources and that he has actually corroborated them as best he can. Bernstein on the other hand, is still trying to manufacture his second Watergate.

I think it's impossible for any human being not to let their own particular mindset and worldview creep into what they write, but I like the way Woodward strives to avoid hyperbole and to stick to actual, straight reporting.

I'll buy that his quotes in this book are legitimate. They ring true.

A very weird phone call. I think I can see the bus tire tracks on KellyAnne's back. Not that she doesn't deserve it. I thought she sounded a bit clipped at times.
