You'll have to excuse me, I'm rather exited.

My 'little story', which admittedly is little more than a rough draft at this point has reached all the way to the top list, dispite my own poor editing abilities. Ch. 3 is on the 4th page of the romance toplist ranked at number 328. Ok, this is not huge or anything, but I am happy with myself, it gives me hope.

Please do not take this opportunity to downvote me or anything (said the frightened and insecure little writer, lol), but rather to share in my joy of this moment.

I don't understand these things. Can you insert a link so that I can see these lists you're talking about? I don't know how to see them.

eyup lass...

D'you know, I was just trying to spell 'eyup' in phonemic script only last week, no really...I've been learning how to teach english as a foreign language

perdita, I hope you're doing well :)

Patrick, I'm very well, thanks. Odd coincidence re. 'eyup'. Can you print it here in phonemics? P.

Edited to add: I did a search (impatient am I) and found this. It's free.

You've found it while I was away, I'm an addicted user of jan mulder's phonmap :) - It won't paste properly in here though, they have to be Word documents I think...the key to 'eyup' is that the 'u' sound is blunter, Scandinavian I think to American ears...only posh Brits would open their mouths wider (as it were)
