Inspired by the slough of facial threads (no, not that kind of inspired; no, not those kind of facials), I thought us chicks should share our skin care regimens with each other. Wouldn't that be FUN?! All right, I'll start:

Morning: Clinique 3-step, followed by Moisture Surge around my eyes and sometimes a little Clearasil on my chin.

Night: some sort of creamy make-up remover (either Noxema or some Clinique stuff in a tube), Clinique 3-step, L'Oreal alpha hydroxy night cream stuff.

Your turn!

Poor Manu! No wonder he spends so much time tweaking the Board! :D

Naughty Mensa! lol

Hmmm... as if anything in my life has a regiman...

Let's see, I wash my face in the shower, using whatever soap happens to be in there, usually Lever 2000 liquid.

If my face feels dirty, I'll use noxema cream before bed.

I never remember to remove my make up until the next day, and it comes off (most of it) in the shower. What doesn't is wiped away with a baby wipe.

Hmmm... I take really bad care of my skin, don't I? I also refuse to wear sunblock. And I've never had any skin issues.

HEY, HEY, HEY!!!

That'll be just about enough of that!!

Here kitty kitty kitty...

PCG: Baby wipes rule! You can use them to remove make-up, to clean kitty goo off your hands, to take deodorant off good clothes when you pull them over your head...all sorts of great uses.

Well, yeah. And since I have a nearly two year old, they're in every room of the house, which is an added advantage.

C'mon, Cheffie! Fill us in on the details!

This is gonna sound really strange, but I was actually introduced to Clinique 3-step by a dude in college who swore by their Dramatically Different moisturing lotion. He was a drama major, wanted to be an actor. Was obsessed with hair and skin care. Had no split ends - I coveted his hair. Yes, he was hetero. No, I didn't do him.

I don't have kids - which leads to raised eyebrows when people come over and see the little pop-up dispensers in the office, in my bedroom, in the living room...

Detail, shmetails.

The best you can get is come, and vitamin E cream lassie. Does all the good things.

I need to find a good exfoliator...

My hair is taken care of by the hairdresser every couple of weeks, Decore S+C... and a Paul Mitchell leave in that gets put through every now and then. I love my hair.

Oh goodie!!!!

Morning... Steam with hot water rag overface for 5 minutes, scrub lightly, and then rinse with hot. Turn on cold, and rinse with cold to constrict pores closing them off to prevent zits.

Night.. repeat. (if really dirty use... lavender castile soap on rag for scrub)

I know.. I only own a bottle of Witchhazel but I mostly use that for my shaven spots.

Morning: Gardinia and lavender facial scrub, Clean & Clear Persa-Gel 10, then Clean and Clear oil free dual action moisturizer, followed by SPF 30 (year round, I have pale skin, and my mother had skin cancer. I took the lesson to heart.) and minimal make up (Clean & Clear Blue powder, lipstick a bit if yellow stick under the eyes, and some eyeshadow)
Night: Oil of Olay Facial cloth, Tea tree oil spot treatment stick, Persa-Gel, and SPA essentials Rainforest Refresh hand and body lotion (it's a bit heavier, but light enough for the face, and not greasy), and Body Shop's Under Eye gel.

Every 3 days: Japanese Washing Grains, Biore pore strips, and an Avacado/Oatmeal face mask that I make myself (natural, cheap, works!), tea bags for the eyes.

I swear, I think I dated this guy. Remove the "I didn't do him" part, and I could've told the same story.

Anyway, I wash my face in the shower with Neutrogena and tone with an astringent like witch hazel. At night, I take off make-up with Lancome make-up remover. Sometimes I use eye creams, if they were giving them away last time I bought make-up. Otherwise, somehow I manage to live without it. ;)

The only cream I use on my face is Oil of Olay - Total Effects - Fragrance Free. This is the only moisturizer I can use as it doesn't give me hives. I have very sensitive skin and most creams irritate it.

The only lip color I can use is Clinique because of the sensitive skin I have.

That's everything I use on my face because I don't wear make-up at all as I've found everything seems to bother my skin.

I'm adding this after I posted the original....I use Dove soap on my face, too.

Mornings: When I step out of the shower, I immediately apply Vaseline Body Lotion with Aloe Vera all over my body. I find it keeps my skin soft all day.

Night: I splash cold water on my face 30 times. A skin nutrionist once told me that you can try all the moisturizers in the world, but what your skin need is WATER.

chanaud,

I was told the very same thing. I drink 8 to 10 glasses of water each day for that reason. It's true that it helps your skin, but it helps your entire body to function properly, too.

Whenever I haven't had enough water, I can immediately feel it - I tend to get tired and my skin becomes dry.

I never ever use soap , always just wash with cold water , then use Oil of Ulay moisteriser .....then on my whole body ....Cocoa butter moisteriser with added vitamin E. I persume you can buy those items all over the world , but readily available in England , been doing this for over 20 years, and I am not being big headed now but a lot of people do say about how good my skin looks .....

I was told by a beautician that soap can dry out the skin .....

But saying all this I now notice I need extra help around the eyes .....so using Vitamin E eye cream ..........

The Body Shop makes a Body Butter that contains cocoa butter with added vitamin E and several other brands are available in most locations.

I agree about the water. I am a big fan of water.

I do use spf 30 Oil of olay sensitive skin if I have to, but usually a good steaming gets the dirt an oil out, and the cool water tightens the pores and I do drink a ton of water.

Oh, the one thing that many people don't get in their diet that is essential for cellular health, espcially in the skin are the 8 essential amino acids. Getting these in your diet can greatly effect the health of your skin and you cells in general.

A.M.

Really Hot Water, then really cold water.
Biore mosturizing foam.

P.M.

St Ives Facial Cleanser and Makeup Remover smeared all over face. Rinse with hot water, rinse with cold water, Biore' foam again.

When I have insomnia I usually smear under my eyes with some vitamin cream I found at Eckerd by St. Ives for puffys and dark circles. It kind of works - kind of doesn't but it smells and feels good when I'm laying in bed. Either that or alternating hot/cold eye pads depending on how my eyes feel. I have really sensitive eyes which are affected when my allergies flare up - my eyelids swell. So the eye packs help.

Starting on orthotri-cyclen was the best thing I ever did to my skin Before, I looked like your sterotypical teenager, but now I may have a small break-out here and there, but that's it.

I also use a little foundation (Max Factor) and powder (Cover Girl) but that's it.
