Yesterday I was sitting at my desk, minding my own business and diligently working when my boss walked up and put his hand on my shoulder. He paused and said, "Oh my god," and squeezed my shoulder a little tighter. I looked at him and he had this odd look on his face and said "Oh my god," again. Then he moved his hand off my shoulder and said "What are you, Xena?" He seemed a bit put off, but hey, he's the one who put his hand there in the first place.

Anyway, the point of sharing this is: do men find muscular women offensive? I admit, I've been lifting weights for awhile trying to achieve those gorgeous "guns" you see on some female weightlifters and am finally getting some wonderful results, but never thought my hard-earned muscles would be offensive.

Opinions?

They are only a turn-off when their breasts solidify into pecs. Which is why you see many built women with implants... Yum!

As long as they are not too big everything is good. I like a well cut, toned, atheletic women. I think they look sexy.

No, no, I don't want to lose my boobs, that's for sure! I'm too attached to them. Just very defined, athletic muscles is what I'm going for.

professional female weightlifters don't do a thing for me, I find them more masculine than feminine. What I mean is.. feminine to me, physically, generally means soft, curviness. For both slim and overweight. The curves that women have beg touching.. and I love that. The curves that men have... well.. men are lumpy. Especially muscle-bound men. And when women develop muscles to the point that they're lumpy like that, they just.. their bodies aren't feminine to me anymore.

I've been lifting weights for years. Men often get intimidated by my legs... I can lift 500 lbs with my legs (even with just my calves alone, if I really want to), and I can bench 150. I have very strong back and neck muscles, but no one really sees my muscles (except in my legs) because I'm covered over with a layer of.. 'insulation', if you will *giggle*.

So, I guess what I'm saying here is that.. like the Greeks... everything in moderation. I don't like muscle-bound women, I also don't like waifs who can't lift 5 lbs for a bicep curl (tone is attractive to me, okay). If you find a middleground where you can be a strong woman and still be feminine, then that does it for me.

But, in this case, you should do what you want to do. Whatever makes you feel good about yourself is what you should be doing.

do men find muscular women offensive? I am personally turned on by a strong mind and body type.

I hope that you are not intimidated by a mans opinion, It is your life and body. Be who you want to be and let the rest eat cake.

Naw, his opinion won't change me, but his reaction just got me wondering and I was curious how some of you guys felt about strong women.

She doesn't seem to have any problem with lacking boobage!

I like my women soft, but I think you should do what makes you happy. :)

Here's a line from a new story I am working on...

I corrected my position on the bed to enjoy the sight of Erin’s sleeping form. Her wide feminine hips and soft curves proclaimed a mixture of fertility and raw sexuality. Somehow Erin’s ample shape compelled me in an irresistible, perhaps biological kind of magic. I couldn’t express it in a rational way, but it made me want to fuck her...

;D

I see nothing wrong with Saucy's body in her photo, or Chyna's either. Check out my thighs in my picture: I workout 4 days a week to keep those thighs looking that good, by bench-pressing 400 pounds with my LEGS! And nobody's ever accused ME of looking masculine.

The important thing is you like how you look, and so does your SO. Anyone else's opinion is irrelevant.

Aloha from Patty

some tone can be sexy i wouldn't like to much muscle just toned i guess

i must say though i'd hate my boss putting his hand on my shoulder ... i think its petty rude

That's exactly the reaction men have to me! :D

I don't want to miss this one when it's finished.

We have a very unusual office atmosphere...people here are pretty open and touchy feely.

I'd like to read the rest when you are done!

Well I think there is a balance somewhere between muscular and scary.

It might just be a little scary if I think she is training to crush my head like a walnut with her thighs.

But this woman, Jill Mills wins those Strongest Woman Contests. I don't find it offensive. That wouldn't be the correct word. I do not usually find this level of narly muscles attractive.

I don't think muscle definition on a woman is unattractive. I have had huge crushes on athletic women. I guess you can take a good thing too far and i think it is a totally case by case basis. (I know this doesn't help). But I have seen some muscular women and think HOT and some I think NOT. Also how can he make any real judgement just by feeling your shoulder through your shirt? I'd have to see you without the shirt.

Furthermore, unless your trying to bag your boss, I'd just say screw him. Oh and I bet you could sue him too. :D

There are some women so muscular they gross me out, very sinewy and leathery looking. I like definition, not lots of bulk. There are women who take steroids to get the bulk, but I don't think a woman's body should look like that.

I agree, women should be curvy, but curvy with athleticism and strength is possible too.

Without the shirt, eh? I may have to consider that. :)

Ewww..bag my boss...yucko. Not exactly my type.

SaucyWench, what are "guns?"

Ruby, strong, muscular arms are often referred to as "guns." Think of Sandra Bullock in Terminator, visualize her arms, those are guns. Or Sigourney Weaver in Alien(s)...she has guns too. :D
