Self-explanatory.

Well apparently not - vote for your first orgasm with or without someone else, and if at an age not categorized then vote for the closest category.

Thanks,

I can't vote, it was before 10. Hell, at 8 I discovered some of my dad's penthouses...

Hmmmm, I said 20-25, but that was when I had my first with another person. By myself, I should have said 16 or so....

i never got into the whole orgasm thing until after i got into college... i dont think i even knew what an orgasm was.. let alone to have ahd one.. and i remember my first one was right around my 19th birthday.. maybe a few days before or sumthin like that...

Vote for the closest one then - after all it is not a scientific poll.

Two things surprise me so far:

1) Women are being a lot more forthcoming about this info.

2) Women are voting for orgasms at a much lower age than I thought I would see. I thought virginity might be lost at a lower age than men, but I thought the reverse would be true for orgasms. Of course, the men have yet to respond in any numbers like the women have.

Ok, I honestly can't vote because it was much younger then 10..... and self produced. Though I didn't know what I was doing at the time.

That seems extraordinary - but then what do I know?

11

Eleven! Yes, by myself and it scared the Hell out of me. I thought I'd broken something.

13, by myself.

15, with someone else.
First lover = first orgasm with someone else.

mine was 13 or 14 on my own although i started touching myself abit before that .. didnt get to orgasm till then though :)

16 when someone else helped me have one

First orgasm (self induced) was around 10 or 11 - just about the time I first had menstrual cycles and became more aware of my body.

First orgasm (with a lover) was at 28 - by a man who finally knew what the hell he was doing....

STG: I'm interested in why you think women would have lost their virginity at a younger age than what is being reported? Also, I'm confused....did you mean to say that you thought women would have lost their virginity at a younger age, but not experience their first orgasm until a later age? Not understanding here.

I was 12 or 13, I don't remember exactly. I had just learned about orgasms at school and masturbation in health class. So as not to be walked in on or interrupted...I took a shower and sat on the shower floor and well umm...masturbated until something happened. *grin* :D

Same here- I was very young, and I didn't know that they were orgasms until sex ed. class- lol.

No - what I meant was that I thought women would (do?) lose their virginity at lower ages than men. This is based on a number of assumptions; that women mature faster than men - at least at first, and that men (boys) often chose women who are younger than themselves, and I assume very young women often chose men older than themselves. At least that is the understanding I have from my reading - and experience/observations.

Also, I'm confused....did you mean to say that you thought women would have lost their virginity at a younger age, but not experience their first orgasm until a later age?
Yes - that is basically what I inferred. This was based on my understanding/reading which may be dated. The assumption is that women would have their first orgasm later than men for a number of reasons:

1) It seemseasier for men to have an orgasm - in fact so easy many have them involuntarily (during dreams or otherwise) and prematurely. Not being a woman I could be flat out wrong in this regard - but I am certainly willing to be corrected.

2) Cultural; the boys will be boys, but girls must be angels and pure attitude on the part of society discourages women from exploring their sexuality. Not fair I agree, but the attitude is still prevalent in our society. In the past it was not even considered proper for women in polite society of any age to have orgasms - fortunately that is now considered repressive in most cultures. I would think that these factors would discourage a woman from exploring her sexuality.

Now maybe I have a biased sample here - the women on this board seem to be very open and comfortable with their sexuality, and I am not at all sure that is the case in general society. That is not meant as a slam against women, but rather against society itself which tries to repress women.

I hope that makes my assumptions clear and again, I am certainly willing to be educated in this regard.

What do you mean?
I mean that seems very young to me for the reasons I just elucidated in another post - the one immediately prior to this one (^^above^^). Not that it is abnormal in a bad way - just surprising given my assumptions, which could be very wrong.

As for my comment about what I know; it means I am not an expert or even necessarily knowledgable in this area, especially since I am not a woman.

Thanks for your answers everybody - I am learning more than I thought I would.

Thats because it WAS very young...and something I had no control over.
