Women Waging Peace

Colin Powell may very well be the Republic "woman" you are looking for. Talk about a dove... ;)

Someone ( wish I could find the exact quote ) once said that to understand and really desire peace, you must see war firsthand.

Perhaps that is the basis of General Powell.

No doubt women advocate peace on a more consistant basis, it is the evolution of the female to preserve and protect. The evolution of the male is to defend, including waging war. Those are basic instincts.

BUT!!! Since we are equiped with higher brain functions, well most of us are anyways, then we should have the capicity to over ride our basel instincts and seek the peaceful solutions to differences. The down side is that all parties involved must have the same willingness to use their brains in seeking a compromise.

just a rambling thought and a half about it,,,

To the victors go the spoils.

That is why women have a minor role in peacemaking.

Men faught,
Men died,
Men choose the terms of peace.

This is a mans world.

So what if we are the minority.
