Women in New England are Frigid - It's Not What You Think

At the start of the football game it was four degrees. I'm sure all the women who went to the game with their season ticket holder husbands are happy about that whole "women have an extra layer of fat" thing.

We set an over night record that stood for about 100 years (not kidding) at -3F. That is frigging cold.

Fortunately my car turned over this morning - with a little bit of coaxing. Eight degrees will do that to a vehicle. Of course driving a mile down the street before finding out that the tire was flat due to contracting air and rubber was a bit of a bitch.

And the answer to the question is yes, if I had been offered a ticket to the Pats/Titans game I would have gone in a heartbeat. Of course with a lower metabolism caused by this cold weather, that might be a little longer than usual.

Go Pats, Go!

You have to be out of your mind. It isn't just cold out there, it's brutal. Stay home and if the games means anything watch it on the tv, preferable wrappe dup under a blanket with some hot coco.

Oh, I'm certainly at home tonight, only because all of my season-ticket holder friends are just as stout/crazy as I am, and they kept their tickets for themselves. I actually had a chance to go to the game, but not in a fan capacity. Screw that.

It is really just a matter of bundling up properly. Remember, wool is better than cotton. Dress in layers to trap body heat. Synthetics wick away moisture next to the skin. Cover your head and ears, and keep your feet warm.

It is the bare-chested body paint guys who need the psych exams.

LOL,

If you say so. For me anything below 30 is crazy weather to be out in!

You forgot the best advice. DON'T DRINK ALCOHOL! Of course I have never listened to that one closely either.:D

Friggin cold for a football game? Or frigging cold in general?

-4 F is about -19.5 C.

I've played soccer in -25 C. Fingers gets a little numb after a while, but the rest is kept warm by running like mad. (It probaly sucks to be the keeper in that weather though...)

Wimps. ;)

A friend of mine was in Lapland for three months last winter. I didn't think she ever played football up there, but she did mention she got a little bit panicky when it was so cold she couldn't get her fingers to turn the key of her apartment. Do I remember correctly and she said -45ºC?

It is cold across the nation right now. Todays high was only 47f that is just not tollerable. Never went outside today, huh that will teach mother nature!!

Phildo thanks God, I no longer live in NewEngland. 47 is not that cold for Northerners, but I like to complain just as much as everyone else. :D

Ok, that just plain sucks. That cold, and you'll have to squint hard to not get frostbites on your eyeballs. Brr.

Well, what do I know. I'll just have to somehow survive this 15ºC (60 F) sunny winter... *sigh*

edited to add: did I mention I went to the beach this morning? :D

Cold for a football game, I think...

Due to hit about -20F (-30C) tonight...

Goddamn, it's cold out there...

5:22. And who cares, it's night almost all the time anyway. Right, Ice? :D
You got it. The last week or so I've had no work (noone wants shit written until two weeks into the new year, it seems) been sleeping in until about 3 in the afternoon. So I've seen maybe 5 hours of daylight in total the last seven days...

I'd just like to say that 'The Rest of The World' have now taken the title of most boring conversationalists ever.

If you hear a comedian making jokes about weather being the only topic of conversation in Britain then shoot him (along with that piano player and the bazouki guy)

So, "Rest of the world you are officially dull."
