A while back, a girlfriend and I were feeling the need for a new adventure and went to a "Gentlemen's Club," that is to say, a strip joint.

We were definitely in the minority! In the hour and a half we were in there we saw one other woman customer and she was with a guy.

Forgive me I am not a writer and I do forget things.

We've written stories here, actually mostly my husband, about strip clubs. We never called them Gentlemen's clubs or tittie bars. Some of the upper class places do use Gentlemen's Clubs and after moving to Florida for 23 years found mostly bikers call them tittie bars.
Basicly they are all the same. Gentlemen's Clubs seem to be where executives and people taking business customers or just a place to show off and throw money around for the same things we saw for free admittance in the local neighborhood old taverns. Hubby said those were mostly older residential homes turned into cheap local bars and then strip clubs.
All I know is with what my husband made and our young ages the free friendly neighborhood strip clubs were more fun, drinks were cheap, and there was no real pressure to pay way too much for a cheap bottle of liquer or watered down drinks for the working girls.

Even back in the 60's those neighborhood places got shut down for many things. Most girls were hookers and other laws were broken. I think some of the more expensive places may still be open. Like my husband says, people with money can do anything that involves sex but regular people can't. They prove that with showing flesh in movies and TV everyday.

My husband was barely 21 which made me 19 when we went to our first strip clubs in the nearby bigger city. It was a town famous for entertainment of all kinds and the first place we saw strip clubs.

Not been to any in USA so can't comment.

I really enjoyed the ones I went to in Amsterdam and Bangko - they put on a great show and there is so much variety in terms of the girls; something for everyone.

In Bangkok I got talking to a few of the girls and anything goes as long as you can pay for it. They can be a bit lazy though in a few of the places we went to they stand around on the podium chatting to each other... So you have to do the leg work to find a good one.
