Women Firefighters (in art and in bed!)

I know the media has recently dished up all things firefighter related, and while it is long overdue, there has been some pretty appalling firefighter art put before the public. The other day, I was invited to an exhibition of enormous oil portraits of firefighters and expected that I would mildly like them. I LOVED THEM!!!!!!!! They were remarkable! The artist went out of his way to seek out firefighters of color and women firefighters AS WELL AS white males for his subjects. The diversity of the subjects is a really good choice, but would mean little if the work was any less than amazing, which it is. The work can be seen online at........

Being a volunteer firefighter as well as a grown up hippie child and a grown up punk rock boy, it occurred to me that I've NEVER seen an erotic story involving women firefighters. The idea intrigued me, and I present it to you for your consideration.............

Thank you for sharing that link. It is a beautiful series, I especially liked "Witness".

As for stories, I've read a few gay firefighter fictional stories, but none involving females.

Dear Wiggles,

Thanks for taking a moment to drink it all in.................. Glad you liked it..........................

Robin...

Women have not yet entered in to the acceptable portrayal of "Firefighter's", and therefore are excluded from the majority of stories wherein they should be included. Unfortunately, women are not categorized as Firefighter's, Police, Military, C.E.O's, or many other position's of extreme power, so have been excluded in the natural storyline usually given to such figurehead's.

I completely agree that "Fire-Rescue" has many posibilities for "Heat-of-the-moment" scenario's, but has many barrier's that must be overcome until we find women juxtaposed in the inferno that you have in mind.....

I am a member of our volunteer fire department. I am in EMS and a FF helper. I have no desire to go into a burning building, but I do everything I can to support the ones that do. We have a couple of women in training to become firefighters and the guys don't seem to mind. When lives count, it doesn't matter what you are, we all work as one.
