Women crusing for women

First of all I am male and enjoy the form very much. I was just asked a question by a very good female friend. She wanted to know if the rules, places, and methods for a female looking to hook up with another female were the same or different than with the males. I told her I didn't think I have ever noticed females in such public places as cars, parks, and restrooms etc. I know there are gay bars for men and I presume there are bars for females also. If there are any females who can shed some light or information on this topic subject. I will be happy to guide her to this sight to read. Thanks.
