I just have one question im looking to start a scifi thread but from experence they dont take off too well i was just curious if there would be anyone else interested on a space type srp. Any and all posts welcome.
OK here's the basic idea. There is a rebellion brewing against the Earthern Federation. (need new name just typed that quick) This srp for now will take place on the U.R.B Gattling (temp name) its the Flag ship for the Rebellion Its also the top class and the only ship of its line the prototype if you will.
Ok now that the setting is done here is some background, The Federation has been corrupted from outside forces not known at the present time . The Gattling was ordered to Sol space where it was to be decommisioned due to " problems with the new tech." On the way there it comes across a batterd scout ship with information for us stating the current situation with the goverment. The captian decides to go Rogue, We find other ships who follow us who have known about the corruptionbut didnt know what to do or didnt have the firepower nessecary to do it.
OK here's where the ships stand we have one battle station the Gattling there are 12 carriers, 18 battleships, 4 crusers, 22 destroyers, 32 scout ships and over 10,000 fighters. There are also 2 million personal. For the story though people only need concern themselves with the gattling for the time being. Also the Story will concern itself mostly with fighter pilots. But we would also need personell for the Gattling. There are the basics. Hope people join.
ok i want to know just how many people want to be in this when i get at least 5 responses ill put up the first post it'll be under The Revalution Imperium
The stars danced magnificently under the night time sky. They brought back the fond memories of my life when I was a small child still living on Earth. Even after twenty eight years of time, and after traveling a distance of over one hundred fifty light years from Earth, I still believed that a star filled night sky was the most inspiring and beautiful sight to behold.
To me, such a sight represented total peace and total fulfillment, but the news of an Interstellar War was a reality of total destruction and mass death. How sad it seemed to me, the only female Historian in my family, that the greatest success Humans had achieved, during their two thousand year history of Space Exploration, was gaining more space in which to kill each other.
Once again, the soldiers would march off to war, because once again, the time for battle had come. But worst of all, entire families would be torn apart and grieve over the loss of loved ones.
As I looked out into the star filled night sky, I realized that tonight might well be my last night of peace on this or any other planet. My name is Amilleesa Davieniott Vaerronos, and tomorrow, I will become a soldier.
"Amilleesa," I heard my father's voice call out to me. "It's very late. Please, you must come in now."
I turned and looked down the hill, located about fifty feet from the back of our house, and saw my father's large frame silouetted by the night lights shining through the opened back door.
"Be there in while," I called back.
"You have to get up early, you know."
Give me credit, I thought to myself. I know better than you what I need to do.
"I said, I'll be there in a while." I answered again.
There was no response as he closed the door behind him.
I hated being impatient with him, but I was a grown woman quite capable of making my own damned decisions, and I wanted this moment of peace and solitude to last a little longer.
Well, on second thought, that was just partially true. On my world, we have adapted a culture, that unless we are in an extreme and or hostile environment, we simply wear no clothes.
