Missouri AG fires Dem attorney Kim Gardner after she refuses to resign over public safety outcry

AG Andrew Bailey gave Gardner 24-hours to resign or be fired

By Brianna Herlihy | Fox News

FIRST ON FOX - Republican Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey fired embattled Democratic St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner on Thursday after she refused to resign following a weekend accident involving a repeat offender who was free despite several violations of his bond terms.

The AG's office is in the process of filing a petition quo warranto, which is the legal mechanism under state statute that allows the Attorney General to remove a prosecutor who neglects his or her duties.

"This is about a quantum of evidence that demonstrates her failure to prosecute cases, failure to inform and confer with victims in cases and failure to file new cases that are referred by law enforcement agencies," Bailey told Fox News Digital in an interview.

It's long overdue but kudos to the AG of Missouri. No doubt Soros is wetting his pants.

I'll be interested to see if Gardner fights this.

She wasn't "fired" (because she can't be "fired") she was asked to resign. When she did not, the quo warranto proceeding was started to remove her.

Hyped headlines are as bad as outright lies because they decieve just like lies.

"Fired" is the word used by FOX in their report. Unless the filing of a "quo warranto" is but a mere formality to her termination then Fox is guilty of using hyperbole.

Truth. And it makes my point that hyped headlines are often just lies.

Fox News?! Hyperbolic....no...say it isn't so...but they say they are both fair and balanced.

A quantum is the minimal amount measurable in a given situation. Somehow I doubt that's what this Bailey intended to say.

This is what happens when a stupid person tries to sound smart. Wrongway's post shows he bought into the stupid person's words, not even realising it.....

fox mistakenly used it for sensationalism and your dumbass fell for it per usual.

I doubt there was any mistake when Fox used the term. They used it explicit to fire up their views....wrongway is proof their business model works!

you're right. i should have said incorrectly, not mistakenly. šŸ˜‰

It's up to Bailey to prove to a judge that Gardner has neglected her duties of the office. Gardner having been formally reprimanded by Missouri's supreme court won't help her defense none.

Faux News is guilty of a lot more than hyperbole.

Can you say ā€œdominionā€?

The number one conservative news source number 2ā€™d the bed and pushed the stolen election narrative they knew was fake.
