In truth, the concept of an idea has to have a little more substance to it to germinate other ideas to spring from it. Throwing out the barest of ideas won't get much traction. If you give more in the initial post, most creative people will then start contributing ideas or concepts.

By your user name, I'd take it you'd prefer a female main character, perhaps even lesbian. That's more but it needs more. Simply letting wild ideas come forth, will net wild responses (unless that is your aim).

WHY would someone deny themself what isn't forced upon them? Because they have been threatened otherwise. Because their life depends on it. Because an old shaman foretold that when they were born, they'd die if they had sex before a certain age (but much after the legal (and required) 18 years of age).

The point is, even a lame concept, is a direction that other people can work off of. If you don't care which sex, or sexual orientation, you can state that, but give us all a little more direction, okay?

There's a thread (or maybe a story?) on orgasmdenial where the wife tells her hubbs that if he really wanted to give her control of his orgasms then she wouldn't need to put him in chastity or worry about him cheating the device - he would just respect her wishes and respect that his cock is hers. I don't have the link, but that's the gist of it.

I think for most the idea of the cage and orgasm being out of control is more exciting than the idea than of being a willing participant.

I really see the concept of mental restraints as being a potentially good story. Someone who wants very much to have sex, all the more because of the mental restraint, but they fight their base impulses for some reason/rationale. It's the concept of having a angel and devil sitting on either shoulder, both seeking to gain sway.

The only question that needs be answered is "why?"

Why would someone need to restrain themselves so passionate? The greater the need to restrain, the greater the urge to break the bonds. So restraint would be for fear of a loved one, or threat on self (thereby the shaman's threat of "doom" on such and such a birthday. The good thing about a "doom" is that it's obscure but threatening at the same time. Most think it necessarily means death, but it could mean simply a road not desired).

I can think of two ways to use some kind of mental chastity. The first is to subject them to mental conditioning. There's different ways to do this depending on fast and lose you want to play with realism. One example might be just brainwashing someone into not being able to cum without a trigger.
Another approach would be to attach some sort of reward to not not having orgasms, but set the bar so high that they repeatedly fail and try again, fail and try again.

I like these ideas. The extreme would be a kind of sadistic Clockwork Orange kind of situation - or maybe just something subtle and playful, happening slowly over time because the protagonist wants to please as much as his/her Dom(me) wants control of orgasms. Since time is easily compressed in a story, either could work.

I haven't written anything in a while, but it could be fun to take a crack at the latter .

It could be something like this - a group of people is a community that needs to prove "the spirit is stronger than the flesh". They follow many restrictions. One of them is sexual abstinence. One of the strongest proofs for the superiority of the mind is to masturbate or have sex to the point where the orgasm is "near at hand" but never go to "the point of no return".

When my wife and I were active in BDSM we tried a number of chastity devices on the market. A few things we found out about them were not great. For one thing my wife liked sex lol and why would she deprive herself of it. The second thing was it was almost impossible to stay clean with the cage on even with daily showers.
