I had a story due to go live this morning. In the middle of the night, I woke up in a panic because I could not remember writing an ending. A quick check revealed that there was one, but it was somewhat weak. So I moved it back to draft.

Now I need to find a way to improve it. What would you have done?

Re-read it more than once, for a start, before you submit.

What you're saying is a bit bizarre, to be honest. How can you finish a story to the point where you've submitted it, and not know what your ending is? That's just... odd.

It was two things. The first was just a worrying thought when I wasn't properly awake. The second was changing my mind about the ending. I don't think either is odd.
