So it stands now at 51 Republicans in the Senate, from 49 before. The swing was in two states, Missouri and Minnesota, where the Republicans picked up seats because Democratic candidates, Mel Carnahan in 2000 and Paul Wellstone in 2002, both died in highly suspicious small plane crashes just before the election. Coincidence or conspiracy? Deaths of politicans in plane crashes was a rarety; now suddenly two in two years, just before an election? And their deaths result in control of the Senate changing hands to the Republicans? Man, that stinks to high heaven!
In my opinion, just as Bush gained the White House through fraud and theft, now the GOP has gained control of the Senate through political assassinations. Its control of Congress is just as illegitimate as its control of the White House.
