We've all been there. I hope tomorrow is a better day. As to taking the day off, we do have a unofficial thing here called a mental health day. Sometimes you just need it.

Feel better.

thanx guys!
unfortunately my boss is the sort of guy who'd need to take year full of mental health days off to improve his state of mind. meanwhile im applying the chocolate therapy.

A good choice. Almost as good as the beer therapy.

I recommend a day off spent doing yard work.

Seriously.

I never want to believe it when I am depressed either, but when I'm not, I recognize that physical activity and a sense of accomplishment do a great deal more for me than a headache from oversleeping and more depression from wasting a day doing nothing.

Of course, if yard work isn't your thing, try going out for a day on the town. :) Just do something that you can look back on and say, "Glad I did that."

When I was studying to become a journalist, I sometimes skipped school, called in sick, and spent the day shopping with my best friend.

Everyone but me had ulcers by the ened of our training.

*hint, hint*

There are times where I just have to step out into the Carport, pull out the hand tools and do some woodworking. (No power tools allowed.) There is nothing so satisfying to the soul as making something from wood. watching it take shape, smelling the scent of the wood, shaping someting with the skill of your hands. (Okay so there is, but it is the lack of that, or the politics of that which usually drive me outside to do the woodworking.)
