So, tomorrow I will be getting my wisdom teeth out. Does anyone know how long I have to wait before I can kiss my boyfriend / have oral sex?

Sort of embarrassed to ask my super hot dentist.

5-7 days

The third day is typically the worst. The dentist usually frees you to do whatever you want to do after the third day, but you won't be giving nobody a blowjob that quickly.

I would wait at least 2 weeks, you will have huge open pockets with sutures. You dont want to do any sucking.

Well the guideline for no drinking from straws is 2 weeks, and there is some similarity between the two... concur with azgirl, gotta wait that 14 days.

Good news is for some of that time you won't want to (how long depends on your reaction)
If the stiches have come out and you are a quick healer you could probably cut a few days off it but better safe than sorry

Good Luck

Yeah, you don't want the sutures (and clots) blowing out before its time. In the end it just slows the healing.

Poor boyfriend, yes. But totally worth it.

You might not have stitches, but follow the doctor's advice for aftercare PERFECTLY and you'll be fine. Take your meds on schedule, ice your jaws, and you'll be fine.

A lot of people get scared about dental work but most of the time, it's really super easy to get through with patience and dedicated medication-taking. :)

Well, they didn't put me under so I didn't say anything I regret but I'm definitely not myself today.., :(

I had no wisdom teeth at all. I never had to go through having them taken out.

Just use your tongue and lick without sucking. I'm sure he won't mind, and you'll be perfectly fine.

You're lucky, I hurt like a moth**f***er... haha.

If anyone else needs to do it, just get knocked out. I wish I was...

I'm pretty happy I was completely out of it when I got my wisdom teeth taken out. I hope you got some pretty good drugs for the pain. :)

I would recommend you ask the doctor/dentist. See what they recommend.

Let us know.... I am sure we are all curious.

That is a friggin slippery slope.

I've tried *just* licking as a tease/torture mechanism, no dice. Full on going down on him in no time.

Just tell your bf to close his eyes, and use one of those squeeze bulb ear wax removal hoober-joober's. If he cares a lick about your pain, he'll understand.

It's not like that. He does care about me and my pain, I love doing nice things for him though so it was my concern.

You'll only be down and out for a little while. You've got two hands and two other orifices to keep him happy, I'm sure he won't mind missing oral for a teeny span of time, sweetie. :)

When I had my wisdom teeth out, I wouldn't have wanted to do that for most of a month. At the time, I had no one who I would have gone down on, so I didn't think much about it.

I agree with Reba67...you're not gonna feel much like having much of anything near your mouth for the next couple of days! I hope the procedure went well and that you are getting some rest. I made the mistake of trying to smoke a cigarette years ago right after I had my wisdom teeth extracted, and I wanted to die. Even swallowing spit hurt! I had lots of painkillers, and I swear I slept for three days afterwards.

I'm sure you and your boyfriend will enjoy some nice, romantic time together without oral exploration for the next couple of weeks. Don't rush it! You have lots of time, sweetie! And enjoy letting him spoil you during your recovery. :)

Hope you're feeling okay.

I had mine out a few years ago- take it easy, it is no fun at all.
Get better soon!:rose:
