The superbug MRSA is being killed with a 1,000-year-old treatment for eye infections based on a mix of onion, garlic and cow bile. Apparently the formula was in Bald's Leechbook "an old English manuscript containing instructions on various treatments held in the British Library."
 
That there were antibiotics 1,000 years ago, not so much. I have always believe in the adage "The more things change the more they remain the same".

I think it is pretty cool, actually.
 
People were doing brain surgery many thousands of years ago.
 
Is this why my doctor took two pints of blood and drilled a hole in my head when I had the flu? :confused:
 
Kind of ironic. Modern Western medicine would have you believe that they are God's answer to all ills. I think radiation woke me up.
