Well there is now 6 inches of snow on the ground and it's 30 degrees outside. Was it just the day before yesterday that I was going out for my daily walks in shirtsleeves?

Yes. Just this past Wed. it was 65 degrees at 7:00pm CST. Overnight it plummeted to 29 degress. Then last night is starts, the white stuff from the heavens.

And here I was enjoying the global warming.

I'm jealous... it's going to miss us for the most part... just rain, a little freezing rain, and maybe an inch of snow by the time it gets cold enough... *sigh*

It basically missed us, and I live near Zeb. We got rain all night and there is about 2 inches outside. I'm not complaining, I have a gig downtown this afternoon (downtown Chicago, just after a snowstorm...ICK!!!)

Uh...it didn't miss me! I just got done shoveling 5 inches of snow of my sidewalk. So you must live further south than I do. Or perhaps further west.

But the Downers Grove, Darien area is a blanket of white. The schools in Lisle, Woodridge, Downers Grove and Darien are closed today.

But actually the roads are clear and traffic wasn't that bad when I ran up to Walgreens a short while ago. :D

Ummm, Zeb, it is not a winter storm. It is still fall.

I live South. They're saying the travel times into the city are really light. Probably a bunch of people stayed home because of the weather this morning.

2 to 3 feet of snow throughout the city. Everything is closed. Apprently this is the worst snow storm in the last 10 years. The city wasn't ready for it and this morning declared a "state of emergency" advising people to stay at home.

We got about a foot of snow. The storm hit closer to Milwaukee than Chicago. The kids loved playing in it. Funny to watch the littlest one struggle to walk through it. If only I had a snowblower!

I live in southern Illinois and along with five inches of snow, we got some fun ice and sleet. :) It's very crunchy out. I'm stuck in the house with the kidlet and the SO. *whimpers*

One of my sisters is in Calgary. She said it was pretty cool there.

On the other hand, sunny Scotland... I'm still in a t-shirt.

I got all excited. We were supposed to get 1/2 to 2 inches of snow this afternoon. Instead we got a 40 degree drop in temperature, rain to beat hell this morning, tornado watches until about 10am, and wind gusts up to 65 mph (Which made it hell to drive down the interstate to pick up my daughter this afternoon). No snow in sight.

Oh, well. Maybe next 'storm'. I just pray they never again say, "Dusting." The last time they did that we had blizzard-like conditions.

Pics!
We gotta have pics!

Will do. Most of my city is still covered in feets of snow and I have tomorrow entirely off. Think I'll adventure out and get pictures.
