Winter in the UK has been a bit of a non-event I spend all summer waiting for it and this year it hasn't really made it to England. Global warming bites the root

Yes, as patientlee said. The Weather Channel started it. It hasn't exactly caught on. I didn't know the name until I saw the thread.

So we had our fun this morning. A 2-hr school delay turned into a cancellation when the power went out. We have it back (as you might have guessed), and were only out for about 2.5 hours. According to the news, there are over 500k people in the Philly area without power.

So nice to have power back. We'd already pulled out the Lincoln Logs and Tinkertoys for the kids. Had to go old school to get information -- hello, radio! And then when the power came back on, PennGirl said, I want the power to stay off! Apparently she likes playing in the sort-of dark.
