I voted for Mike Leigh cos I love all his films and the actors he uses. Scorsese has made some truly great films but this isn't one of them. Eastwood too but he's got enough recognition. Hackford is a hack but he's married to Helen Mirren so he doesn't need much more. Haven't seen anything by Payne.

I voted Eastwood. Few movies touch me, and I loved the darkess, the lightness. I loved how he made me feel, in conjuction with editor of course. Scorcese has changed style, but I do like it, still, you are right, he has done better, I am certain.
