i'm as afraid of xp as a possom is an axe handle myself.
from what i read from the ebook you can either restore, install it or upgrade to it. note: no going back after an upgrade.

i think you can wipe the os out and install some other os.
that what i will do when i buy my next computer.

a friend of mine bought a computer with xp on it, the last time i talked to her she was ready to take a sleadge hammer to it.

i do know one thing for sure and that is Norton does not have drivers foe win xp. if you assume it does and try to load the av program up, xp stalls and will not let you load it or unload it.

she had to do a restore to get her computer back to working.
circuit city did not load an av program on it.
