The consumer home preview is available on Microsoft.com. It's way different than Windows 7. Two desktops... one of which is a big blocky thing that feels like a tablet....

I think it's going to get a rough reception.

It's weird. The start menu is totally gone. Instead you have that windows phone looking desktop... And when you press the Windows key, it toggles between that desktop and the traditional windows one (which still has no Start icon in the bottom left corner).

It takes a lot of getting used to.

The company I work for going with windows phones from blackberry.
I wait while let the bug's get fixed.

It's exactly like the tiles on my phone and xbox, but the single log in that synced up my acct, that was awesome. It seems to be made more for a touchscreen/tablet device, but I like it.
