Windjammer cruise

i've never done it but i LOVE boating and i think it looks like an awesome thing to do. have a blast and take pictures! and, err, leave the corset at home... they don't do well on ships i don't believe.

A former colleague of mine did a week-long trip on the Isaac Evans with her daughter (about 12 at the time, as I recall) and they had a blast.

The cruise I went on was very different from this one. Like a floating resort. I wallowed unashamedly in all the pampering and luxury. We went for our twentieth anniversary. Since our thirtieth is coming up next year, hmmm... That sounds like a plan.

I think it looks like it would be really fun, MrWag. Take the corset--maybe they'll put a picture of you on their website. ;)

geez, you folks are gonna get some mileage out of that corset thing, aren't you?
Why do I get the feeling I missed something.

This looks awesome, dude. I've always wanted to learn to sail, but it's kinda hard in the middle of a corn field.

Anyone ever been on one? my wife and i are thinking about doing this once our two boys are off to school this fall.
I'm glad I checked that link. I went on a windjammer cruise out of Tortolla in the British West Indies. Some guy retired out of the navy and bought several 'tall ships' like the one in the link. From the time you stepped aboard, you only need wear swimwear. Bloody Mary's after ten in the morning and clambakes on the beach. Looks like the same theme. One hell of a good time! Of course being in the Carribbean if you wanted to scuba dive or go parasailing, a boat would come alongside and pick you up and later bring you back. Note: This was a different windjammer company with cruises originating out of a handful of ports in the Carribbean. http://www.windjammer.com/
