I turned 18 in March, graduated in May, so 18 is possible. Story line could also be used in a College setting possibly, 18 would be definitely plausible, and the teacher could still be young, especially at a Community College or Technical School where a lot of college teachers get hired easier when they get their certifications.

A small community college would be a more believable setting -- a small town (approximately 20,000) would be hard pressed for cash about now.

Don't forget to read administrative rules about instructor-teacher relations; some campuses have those policies in effect.

I really don't see it working in a high school setting unless the date was suppose to be with the parent. I have to agree that a college "win a dinner with your professor" might work better if the students are suppose to win.

Also, I don't think the auction has to be to raise money for the school. The auction could be to raise some money for a charity or a cause like Haiti Earthquake relief or Amnesty International.

I agree about high school, but I like the parent idea as a side story. or a different one all together. can anyone write this? I am no good with the writing.

You could make it such that an 18 year old student wins the date but is accompanied by his dad. Purpotedly due to the fact that the raffle was aimed at raising money for a good cause, dad agrees to the idea but secretly he has ulterior motives..

She is in her late 20's or to mid 40's and she raffles off a date with herself through a variety of actions (ie helping around the school, good grades, etc) a young man wins the date and starting at a local burger joint it gets very sexual.

I love Teacher storie my suggestion would be the make the teacher either new to the school justo ut of college or in her 30's if you push 40's the story may not be as realistic as if she was younnger, just a thought

Back in high school (a while ago now) we had "Senior Slave Day" - probably wouldn't fly in today's politically correct times. I know that I wasn't able to fulfill my obligation until after a graduated (don't get excited, I ended up mowing the school counselor's lawn and chopping enough kindling for about two winters.) A lot of kids flaked out and never 'paid up' because of scheduling issues.

You could use a delay tactic. Win dinner with the teacher but she moves, or something happens. Then the guy runs into her after his freshman year of college and reminds her a debt is still owed.

I don't know what about this one got me thinking, but I had some ideas and might wright it, but have a few directions it could go.

So far my idea is this. The teacher is 23 years old just graduated and now teaching photography in a community college. She has dark hair and fair skin, absolutely gorgeous and is beautiful enough to be a model, but her passion has always been photography. She's been very gifted with that which is why she got the job. In her first class of freshmen, there is a brooding, awkward 18year old who is completely infatuated with her. She finds him creepy, but his work is good and seems harmless enough. Sometimes she catches him taking snapshots of her in the middle of class. She smiles and shrugs it off but always finds it disconcerting.

At the end of the year there is the final fundraising option. She didn't sign up until the last minute at the pressure of her other colleagues, as she's the youngest on staff and they think they could make good money by auctioning a date off for her. She is single because she had to move to this smaller town for the job, so she agrees, but thinks the whole idea silly.

Anyway, she ends up going last, when the auctioneer is already drunk as well as most of the party goers/auctioneers. Once she goes up there, the bids go fast and furious, to the shock of all the other staff. Finally the brooding young man pays a ridiculous sum for her.

Here is the crossroads: I can make it go a few different ways from here. Does she go to his house, find a shrine of photography to her and maybe lets herself go, having been so long without a boyfriend? Or maybe things get very very dark and he ends up taking her, or blackmailing her, or pressuring her into doing what he wants?

Suggestions?

Amanda, I like your idea, but why do the auctioneer and others have to get drunk. That was kind of a weird throw in. I like the idea of the young man forcing her to do things that she wouldn't normally do and taking pics while she does them. That way he's got her for more than one date.
