Will
It was his eighteenth birthday, and for that his parents had given him a horse. A gorgeous, light-footed stallion, colored a light reddish-bronze color. It matched his hair, oddly enough.
Overwhelmed with joy at his new gift, Will had taken the horse out for a ride nearly as soon as it was put into his care. His parents had been reluctant to let him go -- after all, he and the horse still needed to be aquainted so that they would respect eachother. But he had gone anyway, and he rode all through the day, never taking a break until it was nearly dark out. A bad idea, that, since his horse was getting irate by the early afternoon, and the stallion didn't hesitate to flip the boy off of its back once they slowed down.
The stallion stayed nearby while Will tried to regain himself -- his head had landed barely an inch away from a sizeable rock set into the ground. There was no use trying to ride back now, since he'd only be thrown off again, and he might not be so lucky next time.
So the boy sat, bronze bangs falling over his green eyes, white tunic and brown pants wrinkled from the stallion's fit. Nobody would go out looking for him yet, since he used to run off like this all the time.
